| Chlorinated rubber is generally produced by the controlled chlorination of synthetic rubbers and may have chlorine content as high as 65% by weight. These coatings exhibit good to excellent resistance to water and many chemicals (e.g., acids and alkali). The formulated coatings often contain plasticizers and/or resin modifiers in order to improve flexibility, adhesion and substrate wetting.
