George R. Pilcher
Vice President George Pilcher joined
ChemQuest in 2007. He spent the previous twenty-six years in senior
technical positions in Akzo Nobel's coil and extrusion coating business,
preceded by eleven years in a variety of technical and supervisory positions in
industrial coatings with The Sherwin-Williams Co.
George's capabilities include comprehensive command of research
and technology development, regulatory issues, production methods, technical
marketing tools, raw material specification and purchasing, change management
and public awareness/education. George has also served as executive
liaison with corporate and outside legal counsel and has extensive experience
with patent, trademark, acquisition/due diligence, personnel, warranty,
advertising, confidentiality and contract issues. George is widely in
demand as a speaker at international venues on a broad array of topics -
from product durability and regulatory issues to marketing topics and the nature
and importance of innovation and creativity. George has published
twenty-three articles, editorials and papers in various industrial, technical
and scientific journals, both refereed and non-refereed. He has also
written three book chapters. George delivered the Joseph J. Mattiello
Memorial Lecture at the International Coatings Exposition in Chicago in 2004.
George holds a B.A. degree in Chemistry
from The College of Wooster (Wooster, OH).
