Daniel S. Murad
President and CEO

Dan Murad joined The ChemQuest Group, Inc. in 1996 from the Rohm & Haas Company where he was Industrial Coatings Director for Europe. Prior to R&H he spent thirteen years with Unocal Polymers where his career took him from technical service positions to Director of Marketing. He directed the sale of the Unocal Polymers Business to Rohm & Haas, working closely with Morgan Stanley, numerous attorneys, as well as the FTC.

Dan's entire career has been dedicated to the U. S. and European Coatings and Adhesives Industries. With a strong background in Polymer Emulsions, his market/industry background includes the Coatings Industry (Industrial, Architectural and Automotive OEM) and the Adhesives Industry (Pressure Sensitive Adhesives, Liquid and Hot Melt Adhesives, Construction Adhesives, and Laminating Adhesives). 

Dan's capabilities include strong general management and leadership skills, internationally, of specialty and commodity businesses, focus on strategic assessment and value creation, marketing for profit (Structural Integrity of Markets), "Change" Agent for critical decisions, team building, organizational and cultural management and inter-personal communications. 

Dan has served on many industry organizations and committees: past Founder and Chairman of the High Barrier Coatings Committee-TAPPI; current Founder and Advisory Board Director of The Adhesive and Sealant Council's "Building the Industry Program", a coalition of greater than 40 leading companies teamed to grow the industry against mechanical fasteners.  He is a member of the ASC, National Paint and Coatings Association (NPCA), the Steel Structures Painting Council (SSPC), The Conference Board, Society of Competitive Intelligence Professionals (SCIP), the International Study of Business Markets (ISBM), and the American and European Coatings Associations.

 Dan holds degrees from Wabash College (BS Chemistry) and William & Mary (MBA).
